Change to postgraduate program plans for Translating and Interpreting

From 2011, the 'Non Accrediting' and 'Accrediting' streams of the Master of Social Science (Translating and Interpreting) will be merged into one single stream and be offered to students as MC167 Master of Social Science (Translating and Interpreting).
The changes have been made based on discussions with industry and feedback from students. In summary, from 2011 the following changes will take place:
- MC167 ‐ Masters of Social Science (Translating & Interpreting) will replace MC167ACC and MC167NON
- GD168 ‐ Graduate Diploma of Translating & Interpreting will replace GD168ACC and GD168NON
- GC137 ‐ Graduate Certificate of Translating & Interpreting will replace GC137ACC and GC137NON
The merger of the two plans will not affect a student's capacity to achieve NAATI standards. The Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Social Science (Translating and Interpreting) will incorporate necessary courses to enable a student to achieve NAATI accreditation.
