Fee Information for International students

The following information about your fees is very important. Please take time to read it very carefully. In addition, fee information for all RMIT students is available on the following website: www.rmit.edu.au/programs/fees

RMIT University reserves the right to annually adjust program tuition fees to take into account increases in University and program delivery costs. Changes to program tuition fees will be applied at the beginning of each calendar year. RMIT will ensure that any future annual fee increase will be maintained below 7.5% (subject to rounding). The fee will be subject to approval by the RMIT Council in the year prior to commencement. Once approved, the tuition fees will be posted at: www.international.rmit.edu.au/info/programfees.asp. In the event of a variation between the fees on the offer letter and the approved RMIT schedule of fees and charges, the approved schedule will prevail.

How Fees are Calculated

English Language

  • English language programs offered by RMIT English Worldwide are charged at a weekly rate.

Pre-University

  • Foundation Studies and Victorian Certificate of Education are charged a flat semester fee.

TAFE – Certificates, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas

  • Program tuition fees are invoiced on a semester basis based on the enrolled load for that particular semester. The fee invoiced for each semester may vary between semesters as the enrolment requirements in TAFE programs varies between semesters. Over the full duration of the program, the total program tuition fee will be the fee quoted in this letter (subject to annual adjustments). However, there are two instances where you may be invoiced a fee in addition to the total program tuition fee. Firstly, depending on your choice of electives as part of your normal program load, you may be invoiced an additional fee. Secondly, if you choose to enrol in an elective in addition to the normal program load, you will be invoiced an additional fee.

Higher Education – Associate Degree, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees

  • Program tuition fees are invoiced on a semester basis based on the enrolled load for that particular semester.

Program Tuition fees do not include overseas student health cover, administrative services charges, books, equipment and other materials required to undertake the program or compulsory activities where relevant, such as fieldwork, excursions or laboratories. Details on additional costs can be found in the program descriptions on the RMIT website and at the RMIT fees website for all students www.rmit.edu.au/programs/fees/other.
