Outbound student exchange guidelines

Definition

Student exchange occurs through a written reciprocal agreement between RMIT University and universities/institutions from different countries. These institutions are referred to as RMIT Student Exchange Partner Institutions (link to institutions list).

These agreements enable RMIT students to study at an overseas institution for a maximum period of one year while being enrolled at and paying the relevant tuition fees to RMIT University.

On completion of an exchange, the study undertaken at the host institution will be credited toward the exchange student’s RMIT award program.

Important Dates

Student application deadline

Application deadlines vary among institutions so check this with the Education Abroad Advisors. Generally, institutions do not accept applications after their closing date.
