Professor Catherine Cole, Discipline Head of Writing, Communication, Public Relations and Publishing in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University, is publishing a collection of short stories and poetry.
The Perfume River offers perspectives on Vietnam from both inside and outside the country.
The diverse array of writers include renowned authors of the Vietnamese literary canon, second-generation ex-pats based in Australia and America, and non-Vietnamese authors who have specialties with the country and its culture.
The only book of its kind on the market, The Perfume River explores a multitude of rich themes and is a unique insight into Vietnam for the (armchair) traveller or indeed anyone interested in understanding more about this culture.
The book is published by UWA Publishing and will be available in April.
