To become and remain a sponsored student you must provide a signed Sponsored Students: Acceptance of Training Fee Charges form (PDF, 115Kb) each time you complete an Enrolment form or Enrolment Variation form.
If you do not submit a completed Sponsored Student: Acceptance of Training Fee Charges form by the due date of the first tax invoice, then as an enrolled student, you will be liable for fees incurred.
If your employer is rated as a company with a bad credit history you will be offered enrolment based on your willingness to be responsible for the invoice of that enrolment and all new charges.
A company shall remain liable for the debt as incurred from the date that the Sponsored Students: Acceptance of Training Fee Charges form is signed. A new Sponsored Students: Acceptance of Training Fee Charges form must be completed each time the student completes an Enrolment form or Enrolment Variation form.
The fees and charges must be paid by the original due date stated on the tax invoice. Any delay in payment of these charges may result in the imposition of a late payment fee.
Having signed the Sponsored Students: Acceptance of Training Fee Charges form, a company shall remain liable for fees invoiced by RMIT for that enrolment, even if:
When a Sponsored Students: Acceptance of Training Fee Charges form is submitted, RMIT will check the company’s ABN and other details to ensure that the information is correct and carry out a credit rating check.
RMIT has the right of approval for a company to become a sponsor based upon credit rating. If a company is not approved due to its credit history the student will remain enrolled only if they are willing to be responsible for the invoice.
A Sponsored Students: Acceptance of Training Fee Charges form will be provided to apprentices and trainees at enrolment, and at any point the enrolment is varied.
Advice will be provided to apprentices and trainees and employers regarding the terms and conditions for sponsored students.
